i want to install a wave-plugin (Waves J37 Tape Saturation). I am using Mac OS Mavericks and i cant find the 'Waves AU Reg Utility' or the 'waves' folder to install the wav-plugin. I heard, the wave folder is in user/Application but there is no folder in it - it is completely empty...
To be honest the only time I have heard of the Waves AU reg utility doing nothing is when someone has been using a 'cracked' copy..... so if thats the case, you are on your own.. but if your copy is legal then, contact Waves for help as it should work.
I also know there is a Windows AU Reg which I think is the same thing, so it is possible that it could be that, but I am pretty sure the Waves AU Reg Utility is doing more than just rescanning.
After I installed the Waves AU's I went to the AU manager and was able to rescan them and everything was fine, but I thought that the AU reg utility would do more than just rescan the AU's, especially because other plug-ins have a similar AU registration utility that does more than just rescan them.
I've got my license from the cloud, it is valid, I am the only one on my network so I was sure it wasn't a problem with the installer. I have tried running it several different ways, multiple times, I have restarted my computer, etc. I have also tried running the AU's individually on my computer and through the Waves AU reg utility.
Does anyone else have any suggestions? I know it is not a big deal if I have to contact the person who created the Waves AU's but it just seems like there should be an easier way to get it done.
