In my regular posts on my other blogs, I have a lot of experience with the creative process of developing an RPG. I have used it to develop my own RPG (which I am still proud of and have never been ashamed of it!), but I have also been taught by a lot of people who know what they are doing. I have talked about how to design a tabletop RPG but the most important thing I have learned is that there is no one way to design a RPG. While I do have some guidelines that have worked for me, there are many things that work for me and many that don't. When I talk about RPG design, I am talking about the whole process of developing your RPG from start to finish, from the very basic things like setting up the details of the world, the races, to the more in-depth work of coming up with classes and putting together a character. This tutorial will talk about how to create your setting (and before you get all worried about my pulling the game design secret out of my hat, I have no intention of doing that in this tutorial).
When creating the races, you need to figure out what it is that you are looking for. The first thing that pops into my mind is what kind of world do I want? Will it be a high fantasy, low fantasy, or a steampunk, high magic, or low magic, or what? Then it is time to figure out what I want this world to be like.
When I first started creating worlds, there were two things that I used to help figure out what I wanted to create. One was the basic outline of the world that I wanted to create. This has changed over the years, and I don't use it for much anymore, but in the beginning, I would choose a country, and then figure out all of the races that I wanted to have in that country. This would include the basics such as Humans, Elves, Dwarves, and Giants. Also a lot of times I would look at the geography of the country and work out all of the races and where they would be found in it. A lot of the time, I would just make up races that I thought would be cool.
I am running a PC with Windows 7 and Adobe Photoshop CS6. I am wondering how to end the trial period and convert to a full copy of Photoshop CS6. I tried closing down Photoshop, which produced a message telling me to return the disk. I did that, but the same message returned. How can I end this? 827ec27edc
